Contacting JLRS, submitting an intake, or engaging the firm does not create an attorney–client relationship. Communications with JLRS are not protected by attorney–client privilege.

No guarantee of outcome
JLRS does not guarantee the outcome of any institutional, administrative, or legal process. Organized, disciplined preparation improves how a matter is presented; it does not determine how an institution will decide.

Not a substitute for counsel
JLRS does not represent itself as a substitute for qualified legal counsel and actively refers clients to counsel where legal representation is warranted. Where a deadline or a statutory right may be at issue, consult an attorney promptly.

Scope of work
JLRS provides strategic and organizational support: assessment, chronology development, documentation organization, and preparation for consequential meetings and proceedings. It does not appear on a client's behalf, negotiate as an agent, or sign filings.

No partisan or advocacy positioning
JLRS does not take positions on partisan political matters and does not present itself as an activist or advocacy organization.

Articles, guides, and anonymized case studies published by JLRS are educational. They describe general practice, not the facts of any reader's matter, and they create no client relationship.

JLRS treats client materials as confidential as a matter of professional practice. That practice is not a legal privilege, and JLRS states this plainly rather than allowing the distinction to be assumed away.
